Inspiring Young Scientists Meet and Compete

Over 1,500 high school scientists from all corners of the globe are packing their bags about to hop on planes, trains and roads leading to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.

This Podcast captures the collective can-do, innovative spirit inside many of these students, who someday will likely play a big or small part in improving our world.

This will be my first trip to Atlanta, and my first chance at experiencing the annual gathering of top science savvy students. Some of the things I’m looking forward to seeing?

  • Shoes that generate electicity to an engine that runs on water
  • Ping pong ball to filter oil from sea water to an electronic walking stick for the blind
  • Robots…robots…robots!

I’ll be there helping students, teachers and organizers share their great stories from the event. So let me know what you’re interested in — ways to improve healthcare, finding cures, helping the environment, mathmatics, rocket science! — and I will try share what I can find.
